Karen Harned

Karen’s journey with handbells began in 1979 after a vocal choir member asked, “Have you ever played handbells?” She tried it and was hooked, and rings in church and community choirs, festivals and workshops. After retiring from the US Air Force in 2003, Karen worked as a defense contractor until 2017, and now enjoys full-time retirement. Karen spends her time cycling, playing badminton, volunteering, going to baseball games, and, of course, ringing handbells!
