They continued to ring through high school and went on to join the Hastings College Bell Choir while they attended school. In 2021, they moved to Omaha with their partner and several pets. Missing ensembled music, Lydia joined River City Ringers in the spring semester of 2025 at the suggestion of their former director and family friend. In their spare time they enjoy creating art, reading, and going to the movies with their partner.

Lydia began their love of handbells in the second grade, playing in the children’s group at First Presbyterian Church of Hastings, Nebraska.
